Swim Class!

Lucas was in such a great mood at swim the other night.  We hope he's like that tonight.  He was jumping and playing in the water like a natural.  Jimmy loves getting in the water with him too!

I can't wait to get all of the pictures and videos together of swimming.  Lucas has fun every class and I wish we could go every day!!!!!  

What a weekend!

We enjoyed the weekend FOR SURE!  Dinner with my boys was amazing and Lucas was so good!!!!  He loves to eat out and preferred my meal instead of his :)

After dinner we decided to see what all the fuss was about at Monkey Joe's.  It is amazing!  I had heard about it but for bigger kids.  I was told that there was an area for little ones and parents were allowed to play with the little ones.  I was not prepared for the amount of playing that I would be doing. It was so much fun.  Lucas was a pro, running, climbing, jumping and sliding.  He also went on the bigger slides and climbers.  He did great!  We were proud and knew he would sleep as soon as we got home!  

We also headed to Louisville for our best friends first birthday party!  It was so much fun.  There were balloons everywhere!!!!!!  We had a great time with cupcakes, balloons and a Kentucky win!

We are finally getting better around the house too.  Lucas and I are finally over our ear infections and poor daddy still has his cough.  Hopefully he will be better soon ;)  We have a bathroom to remodel and a cruise to go on...........

As we are all healing from our colds we started talking (maybe its all of the cold meds) and thought why not check out prices for a cruise.  WELL.........................
We found a great deal on a Carnival Cruise and we go in 3 weeks!  I can't wait.  Although this will be the first time that we are leaving Mr. Lucas with his Nana it is only 4 nights.  So the planner that I am is already thinking about what lists I need to create for Lucas, who I need to call and contact for nana and so on.  Seriously I only have 3 weeks here.

Jim had a wonderful time at swim class last night.  It was the first time he was able to swim (his cold) and I was able to play with my new camera a little.  I can't wait to post pictures!!!!  More to come.....I have a cruise to research.  :)

a houseful of sickies

We have all been bitten by the bug.  Not 100% sure what bug but two of us (Lucas and me) are on antibotics now.  Jim of course is too stubborn and insists on beating this bug by himself.  His plan seems to be working but my plan is working faster:)

It was a wonderful weekend.....other than being sick.  All of us laid around and watched tv.  Lazy and relaxing but much needed!

I totally rocked the pot roast this weekend!  I am so impressed.  I never usually try out new recipes on anyone but Jimmy but this time my in laws were over..........
It was my first pot roast and my first crock pot all in one!

Tonight is a CATS game, hopefully us sickies will be able to stay up and watch!  Go Cats!!!

Sad day for UK fans......but fun with friends!!

We woke up on Saturday morning to a blanket of snow.  It was beautiful and poor Jimmy had been out all night!!!!!  Lucas let momma sleep in and then we got ready for some UK sports!

We had a bowl party to attend and had a great time.  The kids all ran around like crazy people but had a blast!  (I would post pictures but I obviously forgot to upload them on to my computer.  I must have just looked at them and never saved them.  HA!)  Poor Lucas didn't even make it to the end of their street.  He was sound asleep within minutes of getting in the truck!

We lost our bowl game and our basketball game the but best surprise that we had was Jon coming to stay with us.  He came to watch the Colts game and hang out with our craziness.  I think he secretly enjoys the craziness of our house........Jim, me, Lucas, Daisie, Carla and Jack.  He quickly learned all about the help-a-bots and elmo along with us talking about how awesome Despicable Me is as a movie.  I really enjoy our talks with Jon.

Lucas is just as crazy as ever.  His new thing is yelling "go" at green lights and "bop" at red lights.  This is funny now but I am guessing will soon be annoying.  He is doing great with his adjustment into daycare aka school and now the last two days drop off was amazing.  He just walks in like he owns the place and says "bye mama" waives and blows me a kiss.  I still tear up every time I walk out of that room.

We are talking about starting the remodel work on Luca's bathroom.  Jimmy thinks its about time that we get the Degas paintings out of there since he is a boy.  So now I get to search online for neat paint ideas for this bathroom.  I have to make sure that it is a guest/kids bathroom.  I want Lucas to feel that it is his but then I also want to easily change it out to a guest bathroom when we have overnight guests or parties.  (I don't want guests in a monkey bathroom:))  I will definitely keep you posted on the remodeling.

Swim Class 2011!

Its that time again.....swim lessons at the Y!  Lucas had a great time last year and we were thinking he would be way more comfortable in the pool after swimming all summer long!  It is way easier with him at the pool and being able to walk.  Thats one thing we learned last night!

He hates to be on his back, of course, and he loves to kick his legs and splash!  He was jumping off the side into my arms like he has done it every day of his life!  Of course I will try to play with pictures and make a fancy collage or something but heres a couple until then.  We have an awesome video too.....now I will have to learn how to update this with videos!!!!!!!

I have found a new hobby!

I was playing online and ran across a photo editing site and I LOVE IT!  I still have not been able to play as much as I would like but here are a couple of things that I created with some of the software.  I can't wait to play more!

Happy New Year!  We had a wonderful weekend!  Both Jimmy and I deChristmased the whole house!  That feels nice.....I love the holidays and the decorations and Lucas LOVED them but its nice to have the house neat and orderly again.

We had a big play date with friends to celebrate the new year and almost all of the kids made it till midnight!

The kids had a ton of fun and us parents too!!!  It became a big pajama party!!!  The kids were all the best all night, playing and staying up late.  I was really impressed.
