Oh my, Lucas is hilarious. The other day we were on our way to school (daycare) and I had to run by the bank. Well two banks, our personal and then the business one. Yes I plan on combining them but I have been a bit tad busy. Thats a winter project. Back to the bank. We went by our personal bank and of course Lucas thinks the only reason we go there is to get suckers. Well he didn't get one. So after we left he asked where the sucker was. I told him that the bank must have run out. He said well "you got to get a new bank mom" WHAT?! We then made it to the other bank and yes he got his sucker.
And another one............We were on his way home from school and decided to pick up a pizza for dinner. Since we were stuck at a light, my jeep started to over heat. So I decided to pull over in the shade for a bit to let it cool down and call Jim. Lucas said "It's okay mom, just call Mater, he's a tow truck."
Now to the title. The director at school asked if we would be okay with Lucas moving up from the Wiggle Worms to the Butterfly room in August. Since most of his class was going we agreed. Well Lucas has been ready. He also overheard Jim and I talking because now when asked he says, "Momma wants to keep me little but I want to be a butterfly."
He also loves to help around the house. He is always telling me that he will do it a "Man needs to do it". I am not allowed to put flowers in vases, take the garbage out, carry in bags, open doors, feed Daisie, help him in the bathroom, help him get dressed, help him shower, etc. He is big, a man and needs privacy. He is 3! I am not ready for this.
A few of the things that he is into and loves right now. Steak! You ask him what he wants for dinner and he says steak and broccoli. He also really loves projects. He has always helped Jimmy but he is always wanting to work on things or do crafty things (thats my boy) My dads tool set that was given to him for Easter has been extremely helpful since Lucas enjoys taking doorknobs and drawer pulls off and I always need tools inside. Today I went through his things to get his screwdriver and measuring tape. Really, I borrow these things from my 3 year old.
I promise to keep up with updates and Lucas comments. I think we are in for it with this Butterfly room.
