Fun Filled Weekend!

This past weekend was BUSY!  We started it off by heading for some inside fun (think air conditioning) at Chuck E. Cheeses.  I used to go when I was little all of the time and I have never been here in KY.  Jimmy had never been.  There were a ton of things that Lucas to do too!

After a while Cousin Bryce came up to play with us too and then we headed home for the sleepover of boys to begin!  This consisted of fort building, movie watching, ball throwing, tree house sleeping (trying too) and lots of flashlight fun!

On Sunday we headed to Cincinnati for a cookout and pool party with Jon and his family.  TONS of FUN!

Tons of fun but really tiring in this heat.  We will definitely enjoy this weekend at home hanging out.

These past few weeks have been so busy and HOT that I really haven't felt like doing much of anything.  Including uploading pictures.  So I am sorry but here you go!

Lucas went to his first concert with Daddy.  They went to see Ricky Skaggs at Renfro Valley.  It was weird being home alone......

Birthday Time

Lucas and I surprised Jimmy for fathers day and his birthday and got him tickets to the First Nascar Race at the Kentucky Speedway.  They had a ton of fun!!!

Now we are working on plans for our trip to Wisconsin!  I can't wait.  We will get to see Dad's new house in NEW BERLIN, Ali and her family, Dan and Karrie, go to the Zoo and maybe the State Fair oh what a lot to get in one long weekend!!!!

This heat has totally wiped us all out.  We have been spending a lot of time up at the pool, playing INSIDE, and eating a lot of "purple icles" (popicles)  he calls them all purple.

We have come up with interesting things to keep entertained too.  pillow jumplands in the living room, hide and seek in the house, and he has started to "help me cook".  I need to upload pictures tonight!!!!!!!!

Wow! It's been a month..........

Time sure flies when you are having fun!  I can't believe the last time I updated this was a month ago.  I have been trying really hard to keep up.

Us Gaunces have been having a ton of fun!  Visits with family, friends, pool parties, weekends at the lake, everything.  Jim went on his annual Guys Weekend to Rough River and came back to convince me to go.  So I attended my first ever Girls Weekend at Rough River Lake!  It was amazing.  I knew most of the ladies but never had I been on this annual trip.  This is certainly a trip that I can't miss.  No wonder everyone counts down. While I was gone Lucas and Jim decided to change the oil and brakes on my Jeep.  Heres my brake guy:)

We have also spent many hours playing in the tree house.  We did find a better slide to replace the old one (and I think it is totally safer and better)

Lucas is a fan of watching everything going on out the front door.  I am not because I can then see all of the dog noses and fingerprints on the door.  If it stays shut I can't see them!!!  I came around the corner to find this...........

They are also preparing for next years Kentucky Derby!

Lucas loves to be outside helping with everything.  Last night as Jim trimmed the bushes, Lucas would pick up the trimmings and put them in the yard waste container.  He also loves to water everything!
