This whole winter season is just strange. I don't mind not having snow and ice and cold temps but I wish it would just stay one way. Changing back and forth within hours is killing my sinuses.
Lucas is a big boy now. He came out of the bathroom a couple of weeks ago (1.7.12) and told me that he doesn't need mamas help anymore. I lost it. Balling, Crying, Jim making fun of me, lost it. My little man is growing up. I know I started this blog to write about the happenings of us and I haven't really kept up. So here is a run down of us lately :)
- Lucas is 100% potty trained. He started back to school with boxers (another mama lost it moment) on November 21st. He is fine through naps and still sleeps in a pull up just in case. We have been dry lately though so the end is near.
- Lucas asked the other night for me to read "I don't want green ham" I know what it means and its so fun that we can communicate so well with him.
- He is still talking in the third person with "Lucas this and Lucas that" but we are working on I and me.
- He loves football. He prefers it. He told me the other day that he wanted to watch football. Too bad the season is over and we have basketball now.
- He loves candles, fire and lights. REALLY. I have never seen a kid so into candles and lights. He could turn lights on and off all day long. He also thinks that candles are necessary to take a bath. I have them when I take a bath so he has to have them too.
- We just remodeled his bathroom (Oh I need to upload pictures) and he loves it. We let him pick out the handles, the shower curtain and other things. He also helped daddy with all of the nuts and bolts. They are a great team.
- He will be moving up to the big boy preschool starting in February. Yikes. He is a big man now.
- He loves to count, read (he tries to follow the words with his finger) he knows his alphabet, colors, shapes, etc.
- His new favorite words are actually, tomorrow, and yesterday. He is a riot to talk too.
- Everyone loves his big eyes.
- He loves his classroom at church and all of his friends. He asks about them all of the time.
- He can dress him self. I told him one time that the tag means the back and since then we have not had any clothes on backwards! He still gets shoes on the wrong feet but he can dress himself!
- He eats everything. His favorite is chicken and broccoli. Yes, that is what I said.
