Tree House Reveal!

Its almost done!  I say that because anything with Jim is always a work in progress.  We both agree that a handrail is needed and maybe paint but its done.  It was completed with tons of love from all of us.  Thanks to Uncle Dan, Aunt Stephanie, and Nana for their help watching Lucas while we worked and helped lifting the heavy stuff!

Of course I snapped millions of pictures of the progress.  Here are a few of the progress.......

Jimmy has waited 28 years to have a tree house and he has been lucky enough to build one for his son.  Lucas is a special little boy that will have tons of memories in his tree house with his daddy!

Bubble Birthday Breakdown

Oh this weekend was a ton of fun and more.  I think everyone in our house slept as sound as could be since the party. We were a bunch of tired gaunces.  Pretty much the weekend was dedicated to the birthday party.  Cleaning the house, finishing the tree house, etc.  So here it is the party!!!
I am very sad that I didn't get a picture of the favors!  I will have to steal a couple of pictures tonight and post them later.

The sign I made :)  Jim didn't want me to hang anything on the tree house but decided it was good enough.

Bubbles were everywhere!  Friends and Family gathered on a beautiful afternoon and we had a wonderful time.

There were packages for friends with two bubbles and his hand cut out but all of those are gone :(



I had a blast planning and making all of the projects for Lucas' party.  I need to start on next years NOW!

Tree House

This is what two boys in their new tree house looks like. 

It still needs one more wall, doors, a ladder, and a landing but its almost done.  Jimmy was so excited last night that at 8:45 we took Lucas out and he loved it.

Of course it is not finished and momma hasn't decorated yet but that is coming!  I can't wait to find furniture, a rug and paint those walls!!!!

I think they will be sleeping out there soon!  I can't wait for the big reveal to everyone at his birthday party!

Mothers Day Weekend

I know I am an entire week late on my mothers day but I have been super busy and sick.  On top of that the projects that I have in my mind that I need to make and create for Lucas' birthday.  Wow!

My mothers day was AWESOME!  my boys made me a wonderful breakfast, let me nap, take a bath, nap again, rubbed my feet, gave me flowers and a new Pandora charm, then we headed to Stephanies for dinner.  It was really nice to have everyone together and the weather was awesome to play out side!

I am the luckiest gal in the world to have two boys that love to spoil me!!!!!  I love you bunches Lucas and Jim!!!

April Showers brought May Showers!

All of this rain lately has caused us to play inside when all Lucas wants to do is be "side momma".  Jimmy actually mentioned the other day that he is glad Lucas likes being outside because that will make me come out there to hang out more.  We have been eating outside, playing outside, reading outside, and sometimes even wanting to sleep outside.  (that is not negotiable, one must sleep inside until he/she is big enough to sleep in a tent with daddy, and momma does NOT sleep outside)

The rain did take a break long enough to start on another project.  This one is fun.  A treehouse!  Lucas even helped.  He really likes helping daddy with things around the yard.  His favorite is taking all of the tools and putting them just far enough away that daddy can't reach them when he can't let go of something :)

It looks rather silly with the braces on it for the posts to set.

There is a list of things to do around the house before the birthday party!  I am thankful I ordered the invites.  I was worried about processing and shipping but they shipped out yesterday and are scheduled to be at my house tomorrow!  YAY!
