Any time I see a deal on living social or groupon I have to purchase. These books are so much fun to put together, less messy than scrapbooking and so much cooler to sit and look at than a plain little photo album. So I am surprising my hubby. Usually I use all of my coupons and make photo books of Lucas (well of course) well I had a coupon expiring so I had to use it.
I created this!

The Sweetest Note - I have to brag :)
Lucas loves his school. So does Momma and Daddy. We are so happy with his teachers, directors, etc that it makes it easy to drop him off. He comes home talking about his love for his teacher, Mrs. C. (I won't spread names) She is really the best teacher we have had. Nothing against any of the others but Lucas seems to be the happiest with her. He is excited for school and talks about his friends and his teacher. Since moving to her room (2 year olds) about a month ago he has learned so much more.
He can now:
1. sing the alphabet (almost all the way)
2. count to twenty
3. go potty
4. get dressed by himself
5. stopped getting bit and biting
6. shares better (we still work on this)
7. can sing multiple songs, row row row your boat, itsy bitsy spider, old mcdonald, etc)
8. please and thank you without prompting
9. table manners (sit until everyone is done, use fork better, napkin in lap, no talking with food)
and much more. Each day surprises us and we are so happy.
A couple of weeks ago we picked him up and he had the most wonderful note from his teacher. It brought tears to our eyes.
"Dear Lucas' Parents:
I just wanted to brag on your little son and tell you how much I love him :) He brings joy through everything he does and says :) Lucas is one the best helper I've ever had in my teaching life. He helps and knows what to do even without being told!! :) Not mentioning that he's smart, fun, cute and a wonderful child to have around. Oh, and i have to praise him for doing so-o-o well with the potty!!. I felt like I had to share this with you guys.
Thanks,
Mrs. C"
When dropping him off the next day we thanked her for the sweet note and she told us that he is oh so good. Her example of being a helper was one day she was telling them all that lunch would be messy (pasta) and that they would wear their smocks. So Lucas ran to the tub and handed out smocks to all of his friends. She just loves him! So do we!!
Love you Lucas!

Best. Family. Fun. Weekend. EVER.
Oh so much fun that we have already started discussing making an annual trip.
First I must say THANK YOU Shane and Holly for allowing us to join you and your family at your AWESOME lake house. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to do it again! Lucas was so tired on the way home that he was asleep before we got back into town!
There were a total of 13 adults and 9 kids and we ALL had a great time. A lot of things happened to make this weekend unique but not a broke down car, power outage, running out of drinks could stop all of us from agreeing that Labor Day weekend was the Best. Ever.
We were a tad bit worried that Lucas would not be able to handle 3 nights in a cabin without the regular routine but he did great. Every day he surprises us with his flexibility. We are so lucky!
We all hope to make this an annual trip. I think we are all on board!
